How to Make Homemade Foot Cream

Things you will need: 

- 1 cup coconut oil

½ cup aloe vera gel

20 drops lavender essential oil

20 drops peppermint essential oil

Hand mixer or stand mixer

Mixing bowl

Glass jars

               Making your own foot cream using essential oils is the perfect solution to your tired feet. It makes use of natural ingredients and it’s very easy to make. Homemade foot cream saves you money and time since you can do everything at home using only a few ingredients. 




1. Put 1 cup of coconut oil into a mixing bowl.

2. Add ½ cup of aloe vera gel.

3. Add 20 drops of lavender and peppermint essential oils.

4. Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, whip up all the ingredients together for a few minutes. You know it’s done when the cream is white, light and fluffy. 

5. Transfer the cream into the glass jar. 



                   You can keep this foot cream in the refrigerator if you like the feeling of cold cream on your feet. This will also help prolong the shelf life of your cream. To use the cream, massage onto clean dry feet until fully absorbed. If your feet need extra-moisturizing, wear socks overnight. To enhance the relaxing and soothing effects of the essential oils, you can rub some cream into your hands and cup them over your nose for a quick inhalation.


    1. The coconut oil has moisturizing and antifungal properties that hydrate tired feet and help prevent fungal diseases on the feet. 

    2. Aloe vera gel has cooling properties that soothe and moisturize the skin.

    3. Lavender essential oil has a calming aroma has relaxing effects. The anti-inflammatory properties of lavender essential oil can also soothe and ease the pain of tired feet. 

    4. Peppermint essential gives the cooling and refreshing feeling for the feet. 

    5. The combination of these oils provides a tingly and refreshing sensation that soothes tired feet. The scent of these oils also clears and relaxes the mind. 

    6. Giving your feet a gentle massage using essential oils can relieve swelling and pain.

    7. Ten minutes of foot massage can improve blood circulation. Oxygen is transported to body cells and this is important to overall health. 

    8. Using lavender essential oil in a foot massage can improve mood and fight depression. 

    9. The best time to apply foot cream is before bedtime. The soothing and relaxing effects of foot cream promote better sleep.
